Spring Teams
Welcome to the Spring Youth Academy Teams
During the Spring season, we offer teams for players who would like to play for TEAM M-XIV within the IBYL Circuit.
Tryouts start the 1st week of March for boys and girls. Practice begins the 4th week of March! It will offer development, games and great competition.
Our Academy Teams are the right choice for your player if the following matter to you as a parent:
Development: Your player is interested in playing games but not sacrificing individual development while doing so. Practicing on 'plays' is important but at this age there still needs to be a huge emphasis on individual development while teaching team concepts. The M14 System was created to ensure our professional coaching staff does not lose focus during the course of the season. The point of basketball is to play in the game (we haven't forgotten that!) but at the youth level we believe individual development has to be a priority as well.
Coaching: ALL our coaches are paid at M14Hoops (part-time or fully employed). This allows the focus to be on every player and because the focus is on each player improving. Our coaches must pass our internal training classes to be able to coach a team as well and are managed by our Directors. This allows us to trouble-shoot any issues quickly and professionally.

JUNIOR PREP TEAMS
1ST & 2ND GRADE BOYS & 2ND GRADE GIRLS
Junior Prep is how we classify all our 1st & 2nd grade level teams. We classify this way to make sure parents, players and coaches always understand that this is the beginning of the player development journey. At this stage, our focus is on teaching the foundational skills of basketball in a fun, engaging, and competitive environment. We want young athletes to build confidence, learn the game the right way, and develop the habits needed to grow through our system. We offer teams for every level player.

Middle School Prep is how we classify all our 3rd & 4th grade level. We classify this way to make sure parents, players and coaches always remember what we are preparing our players for. We always want our teams to be competitive and we have found a unique way to be competitive and still focus on development. We offer teams for every level players.

High School Prep is how we classify all our 5th, 6th, 7th and 8th grade level. We classify this way to make sure parents, players and coaches always remember what we the next goal in each players progression should be. We always want our teams to be competitive and we have found a unique way to be competitive and still focus on development. We offer teams for every level players.
